Looks like a radical line up of very different ideas - left/centre/right - all given a bit of space to fill with their personal absolutes. I guess this leaves the observer to strike their own relative position.

Yes HD - very un(R)AIA - very unable.
Alternatively ......

Last Friday night at UQ, AA Editor and her (R)AIA members catalogue was pinned on the absence of either an opinion or a critique. So if she, or others on the panel, are unable to provide any form of honest/diligent/truthful architectural writing - what is she/AA hiding/selling/promoting?

^^^^^^^^^^^HD - how dare you cast dispersions on us +++?!
I am a +++, so by default, know what one looks like (as opposed to yourself) - and I can assure you that I did not see any at that UQ talkfest (although JMc, at the very least, had an opinion, and got hauled up before UQ censor board for his efforts). AA Editor, AA Editor-in-the-waiting, and AA Editor-in-diapers - offered varying excuses for being unable to say anything.

None offered for not thinking ..... or accepting junkets to Venice.

bill heffernen right?
man with a plan!? water - food - climate - opposite of kruddspeak?
would move to his electorate and vote for him just for giving smart arse in parliament the finger.

see the krudd speak in OOTVGA announcement in Federated Barbers Mexican bi monthly on behalf of gravitarse - (spoken and authorised by backseatofanalvis) heres a summary.

NO - BHS is like 20thC SHS. Yes - SHS delivered. Yes- BHS doesn't. No. I mean Yes.
no i meant No - very small difference. Yes - here for the accountant. Yes - I mean No. No - not exploiting Pro Bono generosity. Yes - harnessing Pro Bono generosity. No - will be quality. Yes - meant to say good design. Yes - did rush in AS3959-2009. No. Yes - we integrated it. No - SGA are not architects. Yes - part of the accountant's media department. have you seen poster? - its bimonthly. Yes - very proud of it. Yes - we send it to ourselves and..... party donors, corrupt councillors out to impress us, etc. Yes - ......and architects. No - your thinking of ARchitecture NZ. Yes - poster is. Yes - to be handed out to affected citizens. No - SGA will stop them from being tasteless.
Footnote. terry burke said architects are irrelevant wankers and the public doesn't like their work.

^^^ readers!?

tomorrow the hairdresser will wake up and be sober momentarily - he knows he is inferior.
but Justine the x footballer will still be a dignified junk mailer,
operating off a budget propped on conscripted subscription bleed and answering to a auia committee not rack buyer/readers?

a cartel that nurtures happy bigotries sans ACCC scrutiny?

the thread warranted complaint, middle class welfare is an issue.

The usually drab UQ Friday lectures caught a splinter yesterday courtesy of Tonto.

Showed some of his projects - so, so. But the real entertainment was the stinging critique of the VB process and its characters, which was summed in his concluding comments that those involved are essentially a bunch of racists. Massive call (I would have thought actively ignorant was more precise). Fingered the RAIA from the top down for its logos, the VB committee for its silence, the AA Editorial for its lack of integrity, and Centrelink's bat for being fake. The Bun dance crew got a backhander as well - if they are such good architects how come the show was so sh*t? Missed the second half - but reckon the recording will be worth a look - maybe JMc will give himsome tips on dealing with the VC/UQ legals shortly.

AuA editorialiser has a lot of integration on the evidence.

the justines shared enthusiasm for suburban living put them among few prepared to plumb the depths of pond dwelling and speak about it?
from 2005. hard to know which is the superior piece of domestic thinking - recent ministerial rant on life away from lattes or treatise on tomatoes and toddlers. neither seemed to cast much light on a fuse burning for 20 years re blow up city.

uggh. f$ck hd. did you have to remind us of that? i spent most of 2006 unable to look at a copy of AuA in fear of seeing more of the same. the fact that it got a bates smart award for an appalling issue on indig housing makes this seem even more ill considered. if they take out VB i'm calling in the feds...

re - fuse burning.
liberal party rejects (private school boyz who took over state ALP) politicised planning in late 20th century.
got rid of simple smart policy that was on the way/would have tokyo-ized mexico into double the density or more on an existing infrastructure because jeffrey rush et al wanted to keep their leafy camberwell nightmares which r turning to dust and dying now anyway.

baby boomer retards have never had an idea about the city to replace policy except the odd apartment block built by a corporatised and controlled work force that they can lay a raft of red tape over.

the horse has bolted.

Gravitarse and the rest of SGA department can now only play violins to the tune of tram tracks and rail lines.

for more evidence.
refer think brick ideas comp.

entries from melbourne and sydney are lame soft spins for non response govts?
Brisbane one is actually only one about a city.
Hairdresser will cut this group of heads over weekend?

^^
sorry miles.
she was too busy learning autocad in 2005 & tidying up drawings to write good copy?
indigenous housing AuA is 19th century mainstream.
whitey do gooder hot air. the tone of issue put it firmly in the missionary put a pillow under a dying races head camp. Its correct that it got the Oz Mc Award?
position is per Gravitarse & VSGA office - see latest Architect. Indigenous = romantic irrelevant past.

No chance of her taking out VB.
but entering 010 says she had a conflict of interest editorialising 06 and 08?

hd&peter. the issue offered no solutions just like the which way conference. no govt lobby. no establishment of standards. simple b(l)ack slapping exercise for the members and a cheesy letter from past president. what a crock.

Miles - hit the nail on the head ^

Was just an event for the AIA, Centrelink, Gravitarse and the Kilt to hug the indigenes
Problem was Tonto and his mates didn' hug back
A backfire heard in Gove (and UQ the week before)

The ruck rover's AAus follow up issue was a PR whitewall to whitewash the boys last VB f*ck up
A box tick so Carlton can say they have/had an equal opportunity recruitment policy post 2000
The classic wrapping up of the indigneous as an 'other' that is separated out as a pointless bubble
Pis#weak editorial position - housing is housing, no?

Here's 3 other problems with the issue:
1. who wasn't in it
2. the self-build fake
3. the topic bubble

Now more than ever the (R)AIA and its tax aligned toilet paper need to be flushed

--- the chronology too luke.
conference was pre intervention.
centrelink's play was for fed $ for himself and associated indigenous art collectors to line pockets + "design" australia's way out of a national disgrace. (Hitler liked design as well - had Hugo Boss do SS uniforms)

It was a classic wrapping up - if two centuries pass for a classical period or the kilt/gravitarse's fall guy centrelink for Tacitus. But indigenous peoples not "other" anymore. That was pre 67.
Now a catagory of multi-culturalism - idea nicked from canada by Al Grassby and bent over 40 year barrel to preserve immigrant cultures as alloyed fascist balls rolling in a white australian bearing race.

All immigrant group cultural values are moderated in relation to the base line of "australian" values. Howard perfected it - but didn't invent it. Krudd is chrome plating it in anglican evangelism.

The deal in australia is tolerate food and clothes - and in return don't critique "australia".
Hanson? - an "austraaalianess" detector going off its artificial dial.

U r correct luke - Alice Springs was multiculturalism white wash at its finest. Even the location.
y not canberra?

AuA conference issue did offer solution miles. The anthropologists invited to catalogue a "dying" race = the standard white led on black information final solution?

--white bogan tattooed cricket bat played by bob dirtbag unplugged for a bun dance said it all.

Getting back on thread - the finalists submitted last week - interviews shortly

I think the (R)AIA missed a few members of the Zero team
According to http://twitter.com/marcustrimble/status/3121002778 it should read:

Justine Clark, Kate Rhodes, phooey, M3, @cityofsound (aka Arup's Dan Hill) and Marcus Trimble
Now that is a red-hot PR team.... wonder who'd write it up?
