nice link.,,,reads like a 1 to 100 history of the mainland island luke.
love the bit with the dynamite ship - even has small scale ecological fcuk up.

prisons r what we do with conviction.
narco's diversity is the mess hall where they serve up different shaped white bread and water.

oxymoron for VB would be architecture of the free police state.

Put down those scissors HD before you harm yourself. Not all mexicans deserve your bile. Xmas island is a bit of a pisstake - Chaser style. I sense cockroaches and cane toads have a misplaced inferiority complex but its not an affront to the sensibilities to those north of the border. Here in the cooler temperate climates we can wrap ourselves with tartan kilts and an assortment of brightly coloured layered fabrics to counter the cold grey and flat terrain. Whereas the subtropical picturesque environs which you and Luke preside often give rise to the decorated shed more suited to your context. So i dont blame yas if something so yesterday is still relevant.

PS Fark-Me boots, stockings and garter under elizabethan trouser legs do make great porn. Everyone buys porn, it a sensory experience.

hd would have trouble topping mex 21C record 4 self harm or the Chasers.
B waiting for your bitch slaps parade director style. other arse cheek is preturned.

Genuine w*nkers buy porn and think it's normal - goes hand in hand with the penis inferiority complex.

    ha ha ha.
    thats good.

....... old southern silverfish rivalry just popped right out?

so u r saying u share the average mexican conviction that buildings and women r objects narco?
or is it gay porn u like to feel so sensuous about.

^ Are you suggesting nude Frankensteins count as gay porn?

I knew references to homos and penis size would come up but i refuse to go down that path.

    HD
No, i never said women were objects. Buildings can be used as metaphor for women.
What I was refering to was that the self-indulgence and sensory overload was like porn.

Look on the bright side - the ARMy trolleys will never be confused with REM porn

I do like Steven Holl's work or any work that is poetic, crafted, sits comfortably in its context without being pretentious. However, most of Steve's work is based in Europe and North America. It woul dbe interesting to see what he could do here. A twist on the decorated shed maybe.

Local Architects - ...i'll get back to you on that one. Perhaps not one particular architect but an ensemble of works by different architects.

whose work do you admire HD? Luke?

    let me rephrase the question.
    - what style do you work in?
  • Anti-Narcissist

    If given the opportunity,
Process - simple massing, spatial additions, subtracions , with local ESD, emphasis on materiality and preferably a pallet of no more than 3 colours. The principal colour to harmonise with its context. The same phenomenological outlook as Steven Holl.

Style?? I dunno. Wait till the experiment is over.

    You?
