1st Design Competition for Second Life
Meltemi Editore, an Italian Publisher based in Rome, decided to create a virtual seat in Second Life (SL).
A two-steps competition is being launched for the design and implementation of the virtual space. Anyone can participate, without limits of age or qualification. Applicants don't need to maintain anonymity and can take part in the competition both as individuals and as groups.

Quite right.CtrlShift07 invites you to take part in the First Great Land Rush of Second Life, 2007. Come and stake your claim, plant your flag, and sit your buns on 512 sq meters of pristine, lush undeveloped land on CtrlShift's private island Lebenswelt.
Drive, run, fly, teleport, pounce, plummet or jet pack from the CtrlShift07 conference base camp. At 12:00 Noon (GMT) on May 14, 2007, the cannon will sound for all participants to head out onto the open plains to stake your claim, and build your entry. Entered designs will be judged in two phases by two separate juries in June and July, and we will be awarding a FREE ISLAND within Second Life to the winner.
