Why this profession?
* I liked sitting on the floor of my dad's architecture office with a heap of pencils and old striped computer paper.
* It runs in the family (many gens).
* It requires such a variety of skills that it never feels like one job or discipline.
* I value the role of the built environment and architecture in society and want to contribute to the quality of it.
* I used to think it would make me rich - that's a naive 17 year old for you. -

Why - Because I enjoy facilitating outcomes for people and especially community groups whose core business is anthing but building buildings
