Bring David Hicks Home Campaign

If you didn't see it in last Sunday's Age it is campaigning to try to get David Hicks back to Australia. They are running an online petitition with they plan to pass on to the Federal Government. The email address for the petition is bringdavidhome@theage.com.au

Thanks to Shelley for the following information and link for the upcoming demonstration:
9 Dec 2006 - 2:00pm

A demonstration to commemorate and protest the five-year anniversary of David Hicks' incarceration without trial in Guantanamo Bay, where he is held in breach of the Geneva convention and without any right to a fair hearing.

FEDERATION SQUARE, CRN SWANSTON AND FLINDERS STREETS, City
organised by Liberty Victoria (Victoria council for civil liberties) and Civil Rights Defence.

Thanks for this! This is such an important issue.
Is it possible for architects for peace to place a short letter addressed to the Federal Government under this topic. this would make it easier for those who want to express their concerns and support for the campaign, but are not good at writing this kind of petition.

    Cheers,
