Melbourne: SundayJuly 30th, for immediate end to violence

Melbourne: SundayJuly 30th
1pm, outside the State Library

Arch-peace members and friends,

Join us next SundayJuly 30th to demand a cease of fire and to stop the killing and the destruction of vital civilian infrastructure in Lebanon and Palestine.

Architects for Peace condemns these attacks and shares the view of the European Union, and Kofi Annan, who has called for "an 'immediate' end to what he called the 'indiscriminate and disproportionate' violence between Israelis and Palestinians in the Gaza Strip".
"I am gravely concerned about Gaza ... I call for an immediate cessation of indiscriminate and disproportionate violence ... and the reopening of closed crossing points, without which Gaza will continue to be sucked in a downward spiral of suffering and chaos, and the region further inflamed," Kofi Annan.
