The O'seas Job Scene

edited October 2010 in Q and A
Hi all,

My better half is keen to live overseas for a couple of years before we settle down. I'm just at the beginning of my archi career and trying to get as much useful experience as I can while in my hometown with the contacts I have here.

Bit unsure about where would be best to go and try and get work overseas. Would be ideal to go somewhere English speaking, where there are reasonable job opportunities and close to a number of universities for my partner to do research.

Was thinking London, but I've heard the architecture job scene is pretty woeful atm. The States would be OK, but I have a British passport so the UK make things much simpler.

I'd appreciate any advice anyone can give. Thank you kindly, in advance. :-)
