My husband and I have designed our house but can't seem to mesh all the plans with a roof. Are there any books or magazines you can reccommend for us to look at to get some ideas for the roofline? I have trolled the internet and housing booklets but we are needing something a bit different to encompass all our plans (ie: Northlight window, rafters, roofed deck and verandahs all round. Is there somewhere I can look?

I take it you're thinking of a pitched roof. If you're in a bind, take a step back with the plan, and think about the roof (and external walls) at the same time as the plan is developing, then you are more likely to get something that works from all angles.
