Since its inception10 years ago (inside) quickly established
itself as one of Australia's leading design publications for the
Architecture and Design community. The IDEA Awards give the
design community an opportunity to present their projects to be
published in four issues of (inside) throughout the year. With
several categories ranging from residential, commercial and
institutional, through to product, retail and hospitality, there
is a design format for every entrant and sponsor. As the Awards
have grown, so has (inside) been able to extend its commitment to
the Australian design culture and the emergence of the next
generation of Australian designers.
In 2008 a new category will be launched, the Emerging Designer
category, to celebrate and encourage the young designer.
To applaud the established designer, last year's inaugural
category of Designer of the Year will now become a 'People's
Choice' award.
DESIGNER/DESIGN PRACTICE OF THE YEAR AWARD
One of the most prestigious awards for IDEA 08, the Designer Of
The Year award has been transformed in 2008 into a People's
Choice prize, celebrating the most outstanding individual
designer or design practice of 2008. Nominations are invited from
all, with nominees asked to assess the best 'body of work'
completed between January 2007 and August 2008.
That simple: no complicated parameters or elaborate criteria
just nominate the interior design practice that has impressed you
the most within that time frame.
Nominations are open to any Australian designer living and
working in Australia. VOTE NOW FOR THE DESIGNER/DESIGN PRACTICE
OF THE YEAR!.

Australian design to the fore with style and panache, we look
