Tim Bennetton Architects need people! We currently have a position vacant for a graduate architect and one or more students. The student position may be available on a 'job share' basis with another student. The work is for both Tim Bennetton Architects and in collaboration with Gabriel Poole (see also www.gabrielpoole.com.au).
We do mainly residential work - providing the full range of architectural services including during construction. Our focus is on providing excellent design and working in collaboration with the contractor.
One of the exciting possibilities we have at present is for a range of prefabricated houses called 'Takeaways' which are being built out of a factory in Cairns, with a new factory opening in the Brisbane area early 2008. The idea behind this is to create good quality architecture that is much more affordable both in terms of construction cost as well as architectural fees.
Experience in Revit and/or Archicad software is preferable but not nearly as important as enthusiasm and commitment.
You will be involved in all aspects of architecture from dealing with clients, authorities and builders to detailing throughout construction.
Our office is in West End, Brisbane.
Salary will be negotiable depending on experience.
