Its done. As of 25 October 2011 the Victorian Government, AKA Victoria - Asleep at the Wheel, have changed the name of of the Victorian Urban Development Authority Act 2003 to Urban Renewal Authority Victoria Act 2003 ushering in a brave new era of private land development on Melbourne's periphery and public/private urban renewal projects in the centre.
Are we going backwards into the future?
In the current context it's worth a look at Ivan Rijavec's Ugly? exhibition at 15-25 Keele Street Collingwood.
Comments
I didn't think we had a periphery any more, haven't they pretty much done away with the UGB?
